Genesis 1 – 4

Genesis is written by Moses for the people of Israel.
Garments for Adam and Eve is the first animal sacrifice.

1. How did Moses know about Adam and Eve?

2. Did God create Adam and Eve only?
Genesis 5:4

3. Is Earth created in 1 day?

4. What is the Tree of Life?
The tree symbolises entry of the kingdom of heaven? It can only be eaten after one is being glorified (Revelations 2:7)

Tree of Good and Evil -> shows that obedience is needed even without knowing the difference between good and evil.

5. Gender equality?
Never mentioned that man and woman are created not equal. Audrey to find out more.

6. Who are Cain’s wife and the people killing him?
Relatives.

7. Curses and blessings? What is it?
To speak ill or well of a person

8. Lamech (Genesis 4:23) – was he talking to himself?

Psalms 1 – 3
We might get bad stuff that we prayed for so that we can learn from it.

9. Purpose of the law? To save by works?
Galatians 3: 19-25

10. Why is the book called the Law?
Matthew 1 – 3
A fulfilment of the OT prophecies
Mary was engaged to Joseph and need a divorce to separate due to customs
Angels are not present here as there is bible -> based on faith (Hebrew 11)

11. How can you be sure of your belief?

12. What is spiritual warfare? Can Satan enter our thoughts?

13. What are the differences between Pharisees and Sadducees?
Pharisees

- Believe in Oral Law (a guide commentary to Torah) and Torah
- Believe in afterlife and Messiah
- Blue-collar Jews

Sadducees
- Elitist (Priest)
- Insist that only Written Law (Torah) is true and reject the Oral Law
- Believe in the Temple, therefore when Sadducees disappeared in 70AD after the 2nd Temple is destroyed
- Don't believe in afterlife since it is not mentioned in Torah

14. How can you be sure of your belief?
